Little IBI and Great Grandpa

Little IBI and Great Grandpa

I am a Brahmin genealogically rooted from Hindu priest clan. For three generation one of our family took the priesthood duty until both my grandfather and father refused to life as a priest.
This story refers to what the Balinese people believe to be the line of karma. I was very close with my late great grandfather who was a very well respected priest in Bali with hundreds of disciples.
He observed very closely the duties and responsibilities of a Hindu priest serving the people various rituals. He gave a lot of spiritual advice to many and he was the man who had answers to all questions asked by his disciples and general people.
I was a small boy when I directly received his walking stick signifying that the expected me as his future descendant to continue his priesthood duties. For him being a priest has always been a noble duty before God. I feel grateful knowing my great grandfather was a respected spiritual master on Bali and that U was born into a respected Brahmin family and therefore I will continue to perform the duty.
